Cameras

FujiXT4.jpg

Fuji XT-4

This is my FAVORITE camera! I love Fuji colors, the ergonomics, the tactile feel of the dials and the vintage look. It’s a super powerful camera that only gets better through Fuji updates. IBIS, 4K60, HD/240FPS, 10-BitColor SHEESH!

FujiXF18-55mm.jpg

Fuji XF18-55mm OIS

I have 2 of these. A “kit” lens that is just truly amazing! I have loved the image these produce and you can do SO MUCH with this lens. It has OIS, so you can VLOG, take long exposures, and perform some handheld shots. Lowlight could be an issue, but that isn’t a deal breaker. Crank that ISO up. Common focal ranges I use, 18, 23, 35, 55. One day I’ll get primes, but these are where its at!

XT4cage.jpg

XT-4 UURIG Cage

A cage for the XT4. Perfect for adding a handle, a mic, and an external monitor. Adds a bit of ergonomics to the camera and extra utility. If you are going on professional shoots, you need a cage!

handle.jpg

Smallrig Side Handle Grip (wood)

A wooden side handle for the cages above. Great ergonomics, and the cold shoe mount is nice. I usually mount my external monitor here and its nice because now my monitor is over to whichever side I choose.

apurture.jpg

Aputure 120d ii

This light is amazing! Lighting is everything when it comes to video/photos. And this light is so powerful and useful! I even have a portable battery that makes it even more useful. Comes with a nice carrying case that allows you to hold even more things like ties, wipes, gels, etc. If you are getting serious about video, look no further!

lightdome.jpg

Aputure Light Dome Mini ii

This dome is amazing! Paired with the 120d ii, you get a nice soft light in a small space. Perfect for individuals with a small room, or just want something nice and portable. It also comes with a grid to really get some directional lighting. You need this if you get the 120d ii.

rodewireless.jpg

Rode Wireless GO

This is the perfect little wireless mic out there. Easily mic someone up or even yourself. You can be quite some distance away from the camera and it will pick you up. Great choice if you don’t want to use a boom pole and a shotgun mic. Also this could be a super nice and lightweight setup for yourself! *(There is a newer version of this and it has 2 transmitters instead of 1!)

ntg.jpg

Rode VideoMic NTG

The big boy. My big boy. This mic is a bit pricey but the audio quality that comes from it is superb! I love that there is a gain knob on the back and it has so many great features! Auto on when camera is turned on, a low pass filter, dual gain audio recording. This mic is a beast!

manfrotto.jpg

Manfrotto 1004BAC Master Stand

I got this at a crazy discount but this stand is amazing. Super heavy duty, mounts anything. What more could you want?

ritz.jpg

Ritz Gear Folding Tabletop Tripod

This! This is my vlogging tripod. I used to use the big gorilla pod with the flexible legs, but it was just too big and provided TOO MANY options! This tripod, has 2 variations but how often will you really need to put your camera on a tree branch?

circ.jpg

Neewer Photography 5-in-1 Multi-Disc Light Reflector

Perfect diffusion material. I have 2 of these and can create a nice soft box outdoors which is awesome. It’s also cheap! If you can’t get a light or have a portable light source, diffusing natural light is the next best thing!

mavic.jpg

Mavic Mini

There is a newer version of this out that is better. But I see this as an extended camera to my toolkit. Quick unique shots, that will help me tell my story. Maybe 1 day I’ll upgrade, but for how I shoot, what I shoot, I don’t really need the highest quality for the drone. But again, this still brings out a nice picture! Just properly expose your shot manually.

wagon.jpg

VIVOHOME Outdoor Wagon

OMG! This is THE BEST PURCHASE EVER!! This on a video shoot is amazing. You can carry all your video/photo gear and just roll it wherever you need to go! You also can use this for anything: groceries, cardboard, trash, toys, etc. I found that having a wagon was beneficial in so many ways on top of the video/photo component.

sdcard.jpg

SD Cards Sony TOUGH

You need SD Cards. And these are tough. Literally. I don't know how rugged you get with your SD Cards, but it is nice to know that these will not break. Also, have you ever had those SD Cards where the tip of it breaks off? These will not do that.

puch.jpg

Peak Design Pouch

This is the perfect pouch that holds all my little nick knack tech stuff. There is a ton of space, opens like an accordion, and it just looks super sleek. What more could you want?

batterypack.jpg

Portable Battery Pack 26800 pd

This battery pack is amazing. The power delivery capability of this battery pack not only powers my knick knacks, my phone, and my laptop, but most importantly, also my cameras. It can be a bit heavy, but I don't mind it at all.

FujiXT3.jpg

Fuji XT-3

The younger sibling to the XT-4. And to be honest, you are just fine with this one. Its cheaper and can do basically the same as the XT-4 but no IBIS or 240FPS. So if you lock it off on a tripod or use a gimbal, its amazing. Oh and did I mention its cheaper?! You can probably find some good deals on this.

filters.jpg

K&F 58mm Variable ND Filter

ND Filters are a MUST HAVE! They allow you to have the shitter speed nice and low when you are outside in the sun. They also help with long exposure photos. I always keep these with me because you never know when you may need it to get that perfect exposure. Also, I love that these are “variable” so we can adjust to different stops of light. Compact and super super useful. Get a ND. (These are for my lenses thread specifically, check your lens, "ø"# usually can be found top down on lens)

xt3rig.jpg

XT-3 Smallrig Cage

A Cage for the XT-3…

apache.jpg

Apache 3800 Case

This is my favorite case to hold my cameras in! It has custom foam inserts; you can customize it however you like. My case is setup to carry 2 Fuji Cameras with a cage on, an external monitor, a shotgun microphone, 3 additional battery’s, and my wooden handle. Yeah, this case is dope!

appbatt.jpg

190Wh V-Mount Battery

This is the perfect battery to go with the 120d ii. Holds a great charge! What more could you want? You can also power other things with this, super valuable.

monitor.jpg

Camera Field Monitor 5.5”

I wanted a field monitor that was cheap and was still really good. I then stumbled upon this and all my wants were answered. I don't need all the bells and whistles, but this does more than enough for what I need it for. Being able to truly see on a bigger screen than the small camera screen is pretty valuable.

micro.jpg

Rode VideoMicro GO

This was my first camera mic and it’s still amazing to this day. It allows for a super lightweight mic for your camera or even your phone. I use this all the time when vlogging and it is super nice because my whole setup is so lightweight! You can also get an extended audio cable and use this as a shotgun mic. You can even start a podcast with this. Great buy. Oh and it also automatically is always on when your camera is on! Nice touch.

pixel.jpg

Pixel Vocal Air Mics

I picked these up because I saw them on amazon and thought it was cheap and would be a good buy. Turns out, they were! You get 2 wireless lav mics compared to the with the Rode wireless GO

dolica.jpg

Dolica AX620B100 62-Inch Proline Tripod

I got 2 of these when they were on sale, but I still stand by them. I bought mine back in 2015 and they still hold up perfectly! I know there are lighter tripods and whatnot, but these work for me.

triang.jpg

Selens 5-in-1 32 Inch Portable Triangle Reflector

Same as the round one, just a triangle. You can really use it for special occasions depending on what you need. You decide.

sheets.jpg

White Sheet Diffusion

This is also something very valuable. If you have a light but don’t have a soft box, you can use this. You can use this instead of round diffusers. You can fold and clamp this anywhere. I like to keep this with me because you just never know!

2i2.jpg

Scarlett 2i2 + mic

My podcast setup! The 2i2 just adds to the sound. Plug and play, simple. You don’t need this, but as you get more serious with audio, this is the perfect starting point. (That’s where I’m at.)

gopro.jpg

GoPro Hero 7

I am not sure what the latest GoPro is, 8 or 9? 10? But this one is perfect for me. I have a ton of accessories to head mount, strap, float and clip. There are so many ways to get unique shots with a GoPro! Truly a must buy.

carmount.jpg

DSLR Car Mount

This was something I saw and am still experimenting with. It is a really solid car mount and can hold my cameras with ease. You can also mount on a window, so it has been giving me some ideas.

sdreader.jpg

SanDisk Extreme PRO SD UHS-II USB-C Reader

This is small and fast! I went on a hunt to find the fast USB-C SD Card reader and this was the winner. I haven't had any trouble with this reader and I've had mine for a few years.

clamp.jpg

Studio Clamps

These are the perfect clamps to pair with any of the diffusion materials I have listed on this page. I haven't had any trouble with these clamps and they are pretty cheap.
